SIBUR presents its products at the European Coatings Show.

This year, over 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries showcased their products to a record 30,000 plus visitors.


SIBUR presented its plastics and organic synthesis products at the European Coatings Show, an international exhibition held on 4–6 April in Nuremberg, Germany. A variety of acrylates, styrenes, glycols and alcohols included 2-Ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA), a brand new product launched at the Dzerzhinsk site (SIBUR-Neftekhim) in late 2016 following the production upgrade.

For the first time, SIBUR had a branded stand attracting plenty of visitors, as well as other exhibition participants. During the show, we held over 100 meetings with customers, including new ones, to discuss partnership prospects and cooperation areas.

Marat Avetisov, CEO of SIBUR International GmbH, highlighted the value of the show in facilitating SIBUR’s export sales: “Europe is one of our key export markets where last year we achieved an increase in sales of plastics and organic synthesis products, in particular due to the upgrade of our production capacities in Dzerzhinsk. We see a growing demand for our products from European customers, and we are increasingly focused on expansion in the wake of the planned launch of new grades.”

The European Coatings Show has been held every two years since 1991. The exhibited product range includes paint and varnishing materials and coatings, gasket and joint materials, chemicals, glues and sealants used in a variety of industries, from construction to automotive, shipbuilding and space industries.
