Cultural challenge

SIBUR invites its long-time customers to the State Theatre of Nations.

The partnership between SIBUR and the State Theatre of Nations was established in 2015 to boost the cultural dimension of the Formula for Good Deeds initiative, which serves as a framework for SIBUR's efforts to support and implement social projects across the Company's footprint.

It has been several years since SIBUR started cooperation with the State Theatre of Nations, one of Russia's fanciest and most distinctive theatres, as part of its Formula for Good Deeds initiative.

Early in 2017, the Company launched its Customer Experience Management programme and now has the pleasure of inviting its long-standing customers to Moscow shows of the State Theatre of Nations.

The State Theatre of Nations is based in the building of Russia's largest privately owned drama theatre founded in 1885 by the entrepreneur and playwright Fyodor Korsh in Moscow. Despite its 130-year history, it is one of the most advanced Russian theatres today. The Theatre of Nations has put in place a unique production system, which enables it to have no resident acting company and deal with each new show as a standalone project. It primarily seeks to engage in a dialogue with world-class theatre companies and bring their work to its audience.

SIBUR is delighted to offer its customers new impressions fr om these theatrical encounters and give them access to the latest cultural trends. It also hopes that this initiative will further strengthen its client relationships.

Andrey Mironov,
CCO of Rosplast:

"Me and my wife went to see Pushkin's Fairy Tales, which had a great impact on me. We had not read the critical reviews before the show, and this made our experience even better. The acting was outstanding and left us with a lasting impression.

We also liked the intimate feel of the theatre: the auditorium was not big, so from our director box (that is wh ere SIBUR invitees are seated) we could see the stage perfectly and remained fully involved throughout the show. On the other hand, I think that this amazing production deserves a wider range of viewers, so it could be staged in a bigger hall.

SIBUR came up with an excellent idea engaging its customers in cultural activities. In my opinion, cultural pursuits are much more important and exciting than, let's say, attendance of sports events. This is a great initiative! I hope we will see it developing going forward."

Natalia Alexeeva,
Senior Purchasing Manager at PepsiCo:

"Me and my colleagues went to the Theatre of Nations to see Pushkin's Fairy Tales and were stunned by the show, which combined the well-known texts of Alexander Pushkin with provocative costumes and expressive performance. Even the actors' hairstyles were incredible. It turned out that the theatre's make-up artists worked for hours to create many of them. I am not sure if such staging approach is suitable for Pushkin's fairy tales, but, as our first surprise ebbed away, we slowly gave in to the magic of the show and were watching it with great interest.

It was my first time in the Theatre of Nations. I just loved the ambience! With all that beauty and comfort, the sense of solemnity and scrupulousness reigned supreme there. I would like to visit this theatre again to see another production, whose genre would be more to my liking.

I think that SIBUR's initiative with theatre tickets is just great. If I had alternatives (for example, tickets for music shows), I would still choose the theatre."
