In a league of its own

Product of SIBUR's Perm site once again makes it to Russia's Top 100 Best Products.

Technical 2-ethylhexanol manufactured at SIBUR-Khimprom, SIBUR's Perm site, won the nationwide contest "Russia's Top 100 Best Products" in the nomination for Industrial and Technical Goods.

The contest was launched back in 1998 to support Russian manufacturers offering competitive high quality products for domestic consumers. Contest winners get a chance to label their winning product with the logo of Russia's Top 100 Best Products for two consecutive years. It is not the first time that SIBUR's Perm site receives this prestigious award, with its styrene and butanol products taking the prizes in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

2-ethylhexanol is a colourless liquid that is used as feedstock for plasticiser production, and also as a solvent, defoamer, or a perfume ingredient. “We have been winning prizes in different nominations every year thanks to the ongoing development and flawless operation of the site’s quality management system. Above all, we focus on our clients’ needs, constantly researching the market and improving our products accordingly,” said Leonid Shergin, chief engineer at SIBUR's Perm site.
