Polypropylene of SIBUR's Tobolsk site takes prize in the GEMMA International Awards.

SIBUR’s production site in Tobolsk has won the highest award in the selection stage of the Best Goods and Services – GEMMA International Awards. The site has received a gold medal for the production of Sibex PP H270 FF/3 grade polypropylene – special product solution, used to manufacture nonwoven fabric solutions, agrotextiles and personal hygiene items.

“We have participated in the GEMMA competition and won it for the second year running,” says Konstantin Belkin. “The Tobolsk site leverages the most up-to-date, safest and most technically advanced equipment to produce polypropylene that meets all the current requirements and standards. High consumer demand and competition awards are a fitting testament to that.”

The GEMMA competition has been in place since 2002, spanning 49 regions of Russia and 64 countries. It aims to identify leaders in various industries to further promote their interests in Russia and abroad. This year, over one thousand Russian and foreign companies have participated in the competition. In the selection stage, top awards went to 232 organisations from 49 Russian regions, including the Far Eastern, Siberian, Ural, Volga and Southern Federal Districts, as well as 382 companies from 64 other countries. Gold medal winners will move on to the finals, the results of which will be announced late in March 2017.
