In three stages

SIBUR increases its gas fractionation capacity in Tobolsk.

SIBUR has completed the reconstruction project for the facility processing natural gas liquids (NGLs) at the Tobolsk production site, boosting the site's total fractionation capacity from 6.6 to 8 mtpa.

The project comprised three stages: revamping the loading rack, building propane storage tanks, and upgrading the gas fractionation unit put into operation in 2014.

Construction of ZapSibNeftekhim facilities

SIBUR has been consistently implementing a programme to expand availability of domestically sourced feedstock for the petrochemical industry. The Company’s gas fractionation capacity is expanded in parallel with an increase in deliveries of NGLs to the Tobolsk site. To that end, the capacity for APG intake was doubled (up to 24 bcm, including Yuzhno-Priobskiy GPP), a new pipeline with a capacity of 8 mtpa connecting Purovsk and Tobolsk was put into operation, as well as a rail loading rack with a capacity of 1.5 mtpa. A propane processing and polypropylene production facility with a capacity of 500 ktpa was commissioned in 2013, and at the moment ZapSibNeftekhim facilities are under construction. Once completed, they will produce 1.5 mtpa of polyethylene and 500 ktpa of polypropylene.
