For the first time, SIBUR performed best in the Responsibility and Transparency industry index and was ranked among the Top 10 leaders in information disclosure across all industries.

Since 2014, RSPP has been compiling the corporate sustainability, responsibility and transparency indices to provide an independent assessment of Russian companies’ social responsibility. The project encompasses the Responsibility and Transparency and Sustainable Development Vector indices. For the Responsibility and Transparency index, RSPP takes into account the scope and quality of disclosures on various social and environmental responsibility indicators included in public corporate reports.

“By publishing SIBUR’s Sustainability Report, we seek to enhance information transparency and promote an open dialogue and efficient partnership with all stakeholders. We appreciate the expert community’s positive assessment and thank all who participated in the public verification process,” said Dmitry Chernikov, who is responsible for SIBUR's information policy.

“The indices cover major Russian companies in the Top 100 of the RAEX 600 and RBC 500 ratings. The most recent release of the Responsibility and Transparency index brought to the forefront new leaders that are actively fostering information disclosure in the area of sustainable development and social investments. These include SIBUR, which in a landmark move published its first public social report in compliance with international standards. We congratulate our colleagues on a successful début,” said Natalia Khonyakova, Head of the Corporate Sustainability, Responsibility and Transparency Indices Development Group.
