SIBUR’s Togliatti site (SIBUR Togliatti) has launched production of new grades of copolymer rubber: SKMS-30 ARKM-15 and SKMS-30 ARKM-27. The use of the Treated Distillate Aromatic Extract (TDAE) plasticiser oil improves the polymer’s plasticity and facilitates further rubber processing. Consumer plants in Russia and abroad have successfully tested a pilot batch of the new grades.

“The key advantage of TDAE oil is its full compliance with the EU environmental requirements. It will let SIBUR tap into a pool of new customers,” said Pavel Kubryakov, Head of Production at SIBUR Togliatti.

Currently, the Togliatti site produces five grades of copolymer rubber for customers in the CIS, Southeast Asia, China, America, India and Turkey.

The introduction of the new grades will not affect SIBUR Togliatti's overall copolymer rubber production capacity.
