SBS polymer is a thermoplastic elastomer of a synthetic origin capable of generating a strong and elastic bonds net inside the materials, able to be melted and processed as plastic in high-temperature environment. Bitumen-concrete mixtures with added SBS polymer feature better fracture properties, are resistant to tracing ruts. It results in a longer lifespan of roads and lower maintenance costs. About 80% of all the federal highways in Russia are built and repaired using SBS. SIBUR is the leading manufacturer of SBS polymers in Russia.
